The
Baseball Academy will kick off its 22nd
annual scout season July 8th in
Marietta Georgia and end the season in late October.
The Baseball Academy coordinators will now serve the
multiple roles as coordinators for USA Baseball, Area
Code Baseball, Perfect Game Baseball as well as Triple
Crown Baseball in the Mountain West Region.
For the past 21 years the Baseball Academy’s scout teams
have been one of our most important and popular
programs. Players will be chosen out of the
Instructional League to represent the 2009, 2010, 2011
and 2012 graduating classes to compete in events against
some of the best competition in the Nation. The high
level of competition, quality of instruction,
opportunity to play in great national facilities, and
exposure to hundreds of professional scouts and college
recruiters are just some of the reasons why this program
is so popular.
Fees: The Baseball Academy fee for this program
is
·
$1,000.00 for underclassmen 2011 / 2012 (4
payments of 250.00)
·
$1,250.00 for underclassmen 2010 (5
payments of 250.00)
·
$1,800.00 for the 2009 class (6 payments
of 300.00)
·
Members deduct $200.00
·
Hats, jerseys and pants are available at
Universal Athletics (located inside the Academy
building). Universal will also have special deals on
wood bats for participating players.
As you can see, we are going to handle the payment
schedule a little differently this year. To make it
easier for participants we are going to accept payments
each month during the course of the season. To register
for a tryout each player must hand in a player profile
as well as a canceled check or a credit card for monthly
automatic withdrawals. If you do not make a team you
will only be charged a $25.00 tryout fee. If you make a
team and quit, you will be charged a $500.00
cancellation fee.
Those who make the teams are not required to attend
every event. However, it has caused difficulties when
in the past we have had players telling us at the last
minute, or not telling us at all. Any lack of
communication about not attending affects the experience
of the entire club for the event. This year, if we do
not have at least two weeks’ notice that you will not be
attending an event, we will be adding $50.00 fee.
This is the 22nd year we have been providing
these All-Star trips for Utah players. In the past
almost every parent has accompanied their son. Because
of this, we have made no arrangements for transportation
to and from airport, ballpark, etc. For hotel
reservations contact Cathy at (http://www.concordetm.com/info/sports.html).
Parents submit your credit
card information under the "additional comments" section
of the form.
